The Vienna Insurance Group has made impressive progress in the last two decades. Our business has developed from being a large Austrian insurance company to become the leading Austrian insurance group in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). And we continue to work hard to build on our top position in Austria and in the markets of the CEE region.

Our strategy is shaped not only by a desire to ensure the long-term success of our business and to consolidate the achievements made, but also by the intention to create a basis for sustainable and result-oriented growth in the future. The Vienna Insurance Group currently consists of 50 companies and is active in 23 countries. Our premium volumes are growing continuously and, overall, around 50 percent of the group’s total consolidated premiums are from markets in the CEE region, and the figure is an impressive 60 percent in the property / casualty insurance segment.
